Donation Details

Start gathering your donations and drop them off at the Hillhurst gym. Please make sure all items are clean, in working order, and ready to display.

We’re accepting donations such as kitchenware, small working appliances, household décor, craft supplies, linens, jewelry, sports equipment, children’s toys, art, tools, gardening items, books, home office supplies, games and puzzles (with all pieces), and seasonal décor.

Please note, we cannot accept clothing, shoes, bike helmets, car seats, old TVs, outdated electronics, plush toys, or large furniture. If you’d like to support the sale by selling these items online, you can donate proceeds to Hillhurst United Church.

Bring your bottles as well
Sept 7 only

While bringing items to drop off for the garage sale, why not bring your bottles and cans too? No sorting is required, a drop bin will be available, and your donations will help us reach our fundraising goals.

FAQ’S

  • The sale takes place on:

    • Friday, September 12 from 4 pm – 8 pm

    • Saturday, September 13 from 8 am – 4 pm

    • Sunday, August 31: 8 am – 12 pm

    • Sunday, September 7: 8 am – 12 pm

    • Monday–Wednesday, September 8–10: 10 am – 3 pm

    • Extended hours on Tuesday, September 9 until 7 pm

  • Donations can be dropped off at the Hillhurst Gym during the designated times.

  • Please ensure all donated items are clean, in working order, and ready to display. Items that are broken, damaged, or missing pieces cannot be accepted.

  • Yes! You’re encouraged to sell those items online yourself and donate the proceeds to Hillhurst United Church

  • Yes! On Sunday, September 7, we’re hosting a 1-day Bottle Drive. Bring your bottles, cans, and milk cartons along with your donations to support Hillhurst programs.

  • No, please bring your own bag when you come to shop.
