Hold a candle while singing Silent Night, surrounded by a sea of candlelight and the swell of voices. Feel at home in the warm embrace of a welcoming community as you hear a message from John Pentland, Lead Minister, of hope, peace, joy, and love — Christmas is here!
At each service, we’ll hear the humble and awe-inspiring story of Jesus’ birth. Weaving scripture, music, and prayer together, this story of old inspires our lives today.
Whoever you are, wherever you’re at, join us for Christmas Eve at Hillhurst United Church in the heart of Kensington neighbourhood in Calgary.
See below for details and registration for all four Christmas Eve services. Registration is appreciated but not mandatory. Our Children’s Ministry Lead will have kid’s activity stations set up in the sanctuary at each service.

Children’s Nativity Pageant | December 24, 2024
The young and young-at-heart are invited to Hillhurst United on Christmas Eve for singing, prayers, and the chance to be part of the Christmas story!
At this fun and quick Christmas Eve service, children are invited to put on one of the costumes provided and join in the nativity story. All ages are welcome, no rehearsal required.
Registration is appreciated, but not mandatory. Share this event with family or friends!
