March 14, 2020 Update
March 14, 2020
At Hillhurst, we seek to live by our core values. Risk is one of those values. We will not take unnecessary risks when it comes to the health and welfare of our community. However, we are equally grounded in the practice of hospitality.
Beginning this Sunday (March 12, 2020), in-person worship services will be cancelled until further notice. We will continue to connect as a community exclusively through LIVE online worship at 10:45 am on Sundays.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the live service at 10:45 am hosted through HillhurstUnited.com. You are welcome to comment live during the service and stay connected. The service will be recorded and shared later, so don’t worry if you can’t tune in live!
We are choosing to be proactive in our response to mitigate risk as we face this global pandemic. The welfare of our community members is at the heart of our concern.
Ongoing Ministries and Activities
Effective immediately, all in-person small group ministry gatherings and activities will be cancelled. There will be alternative opportunities for engagement, connection, and community provided in the interim via online technologies. One way you can connect right away is by joining our Hillhurst Facebook group. We are continuing to explore other creative solutions for prayer, connection, and care.
Just know, we are doing our best to keep connected while caring for one another in whatever ways possible.
May we be reminded that we are not alone in the days ahead.
Peace to you,
John Pentland and the staff at Hillhurst United Church
