Doors Wide Open: In-person Services Resume in April | February 24, 2022 Update

We made a big announcement at the congregational meeting tonight...

After almost exactly two years, our sanctuary doors are opening! On Sunday, April 3, in-person services will resume at 9:05 and 10:45 am MT. The 10:45 service will be live-streamed to our YouTube channel. KidSpace and Youth will be available during the 10:45 service.

If you plan on attending in person, we ask that you register for either the 9:05 or 10:45 service. This will help ensure that we stay within our capacity limits at each service.

Register for Sunday, April 3 at 9:05 am

Register for Sunday, April 3, at 10:45 am

We are so, so excited to welcome you back into the pews now that it is safer to do so! The following safety precautions will be in place:

  • Installation of six air purifiers with HEPA filters in sanctuary

  • CO2 monitor to monitor air circulation

  • Masks required indoors — N95s are strongly encouraged, or snugly fitting surgical/medical masks as the next best option

  • Pre-registration to stay within 200 attendees at each service

Many hands make light work!
Greeters, scripture readers, baptism hosts... these are things we haven't thought about in two years! Did you know it takes over 20 volunteers — per service — each week, to provide the high standard of hospitality offered at Hillhurst? If you've never served on a team before, this is the time! We offer training for all our teams and it's a fun way to meet others in the congregation. There are also opportunities to volunteer if you are an online congregant.

I'm interested in serving on a team

Online services are here to stay!
We have gained so many amazing congregants from far and wide and right here in Calgary who prefer online or are unable to attend in-person for various reasons. Providing quality online services is part of living out "whoever you are, wherever you're at!" Starting April 3, the 10:45 am MT service will be live-streamed to our YouTube page.

Thank you to all of you for being part of this community.
Whether you've been here for five minutes or over five years — your presence is what makes this place a thriving community of hospitality, spirituality, and social justice — all grounded in risk.
