Volunteer Opportunities
Polish the Pews for Resurrection News
Easter is coming, and we’re getting ready to celebrate! With renovations complete, Hillhurst United is open—and we’d love your help preparing our space for Easter and the season ahead.
We invite you to volunteer for one (or both!) of our March clean-up weekends. Come for an hour or stay longer—many hands make light work.

Saturday, March 28 | 9:00 am–12:00 pm or 1:00–5:00 pm
Whether you sweep, scrub, organize, or simply offer a helping hand, your presence is a gift.

Sunday Service Volunteeers
We’re looking for a few extra hands to help make Sunday mornings run smoothly.
Our biggest need right now is for cup washers after the service. There are also opportunities to get involved as a greeter, support KidSpace, or join the Bread Ministry by preparing dough and baking bread for communion.
If you’d like to help, you can sign up through the Serve on a Team form or reach out to Jenny Smith at jenny.smith@hillhurstunited.com.
Support Our Refugee Ministry
Can you help us make a tangible difference in the lives of refugee families seeking safety and a fresh start?
At Hillhurst, we are continuing the work of the Refugee Ministry, and we need compassionate, committed individuals to join us in this important work. Whether you have a heart for hands-on help or a mind for planning and administration, there’s a place for you here.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Governance & Leadership: Help shape our ministry’s direction through roles in finance, administration, planning, and strategic oversight.
Direct Support & Settlement: Be part of the welcoming team! Assist newly arrived families with housing setup, transportation, orientation, and ongoing support as they settle into the community.
Whether you can give a few hours a month or more, your time and gifts can change lives.

The newly formed Event Planning Committee is looking for one or two enthusiastic folks who enjoy planning fun, engaging events. If you’re passionate about helping your church thrive—and having a great time while doing it—reach out to Conn Nicoll at csnicoll@telus.net.
